Boutique grocery store. Most of the items are snacks or alcohol. Front counter offers some good sandwiches. Enjoy coming here for 1-2 random small novelties I'm wanting to try.
I swing by another location of Union Kitchen in the city regularly and always enjoy it - staff is friendly, food is good and pretty prompt, selection of snacks and all is solid. This location? Only the snack selection was solid. Staff all had headphones in and seemed simultaneously busy and bored, sandwich was cold and so sloppily made I had to eat it with a fork. Coffee was fine. Bummed about it because this one is way closer to home, but I think I’ll take the extra time and keep going to that other one.
Union Kitchen in Eckington deserves all the love — and a huge shoutout to Tyrone, the manager, who made the entire experience unforgettable. From the moment I walked in, he brought this amazing energy that instantly made the place feel warm and welcoming. I wanted a buffalo chicken sandwich, which wasn’t available on the menu — but Tyrone didn’t miss a beat. He went out of his way to make it for me anyway, no hesitation. That kind of above-and-beyond service is rare these days. He was friendly, genuine, and clearly cares about every customer who walks through the door. On top of that, the food was fantastic. Great vibes, great people, and great food — this place is a gem.
Sad I only come for cookie and to come in and they have none is ridiculous that Tyrone didn’t order cookie once again . Came in before no chicken out of rosemary bread yet this guy is still working here unbelievable
This place was great when it first opened. Their pastries and menu foods were delicious. Now the pastries taste days old and i feel everything has been consistently declining in quality over the last year. I can say their selection of snacks and beverage are still pretty good.
