We were so happy to find this commercial kitchen space as we looked to expand our small business. Booking space has been seamless and we were greatly able to increase our production capacity with the equipment in the kitchen. The team at Flavors has also been so wonderful to work with. Not only did the check in with us frequently as newcomers to the space, but they were able to help us with the permitting process as well. They walked us through the process of getting our health license, including advising us on the creation of our HACCP plan. If you are looking for a new space to work out of, we highly recommend it!

I was halfway through culinary school and wanting to start my business in the very near future. I started my Google search for a reputable commercial kitchen in Prince George's County. There were not very many options. I found an article on Samia (the owner) about her recent (at the time) being the recipient of a Goldman Sachs grant/award and in turn found Flavors! I was SO excited because it was the answer to my prayers! At that time, Flavors offered a slew of online learning workshops and private Facebook Group - including the "lunch and learn" - while they were building out the commercial kitchen space. First, Flavors offers innumerable valuable resources for all aspects of your business from grants, government contract solicitations, events, staffing, help with licensing and permitting, and sooooooooo many other things! Secondly, Samia (the owner) has been a delight since day 1! I don't know how many times I've needed to get in the kitchen at the eleven hour and she so kindly answered my texts and did whatever to get me in! Thirdly, I was terrified of the licensing and permitting process with PG County when I first obtained my Food Services permit. I was familiar with HACCP plans through culinary school, but never had to write one without guidance! Not only did Samia provide the members with access to a consultant to help prepare our HACCP plans, but she also held my hand from start-to-finish from submitting my documents to getting my final inspection. Fourthly, I toured some other commercial kitchens in DC and was completely overwhelmed by the number of people sharing the kitchen at any one given time and the cleanliness (or lack thereof). Flavors' commercial kitchen has always been clean and there have only been one or two instances where I've had to share the kitchen. The equipment is always clean and operational. Lastly, the membership fee is beyond worth every penny! You get resources, guidance AND access to a commercial kitchen - what more can you ask for!!
